3-6 Year Old Classes

Each class takes as many as eighteen students with two staff members.  We offer a few scheduling options, listed below. 

• 5 mornings: M-F, 8:45-12:00
• 3 all-day: Tu-Th, 8:45-4:00
• Full-time: M-F, 8:45-4:00

Kindergarten

Students may be enrolled in our full-time class for kindergarten. We do require that students attend at least one year of Montessori preschool before enrolling in kindergarten. Provided the age requirement is met, our graduates are more than prepared to attend first grade.

2-3 Year Old Class

This class is open to eight children and has two staff members. There is one scheduling option:

• 3 mornings: M, W, F, 9:00-11:45

Early Drop Off

Early drop off is available with limited spaces starting at 8:30 am. Daily, monthly, and yearly payment options are available.

Classrooms

The preschool section is divided into four main areas: practical life, sensorial, language, and mathematics. Children are at liberty to work in any of the four sections within the classroom. The freedom to select their materials and complete a task on their own provides for a sense of order and for development of their coordination, concentration, and independence. Self reliance and self assurance are also benefits of Montessori teaching methods. The program has been proven to be effective over many years.

The toddler section is arranged differently than the preschool section, but the Montessori philosophy and teaching methods are still the same. Development of a sense of order, coordination, concentration, and independence are also results of this class. The Toddler Class provides a solid foundation to our Preschool Class.

Schedule

Our regular school year runs from late August through late May.  We follow a typical academic schedule with holidays, inservice days, and parent-teacher conferences.  Summer camp is offered for 3 weeks in June.  Yearly and monthly calendars are provided.
