Our Staff

Ms Penny

Penny purchased the school in 1991 when the owners at the time were ready to close. Her daughter had attended school here and Penny knew she wanted her son to be able to attend as well. Penny is passionate about the Montessori philosophies and can often be found engaging with children in passionate conversations about something of great interest to them - always asking engaging questions and offering what information she has on the topic. She is a certified directress (teacher) in the 3-6 year old classroom.

Ms Amanda

Amanda fell in love with the Montessori philosophy after sending her oldest son to NMP. When she joined the NMP family, she started as an assistant teacher in the 3-6 class, and has since become the head teacher of our 2-3 class. You’ll still see her in the 3-6 class two mornings a week!

Some of her favorite things to do in the classroom are sharing her love of books during story times, and finding new fun sensory activities to do as a group.

Ms Jackie

Jackie was a Speech-Language Pathologist by trade but decided to take time off when her daughter was born; she began working at NMP shortly after. Jackie fell in love with the school and Montessori philosophies and now sees this as a permanent career change. She is passionate about social-emotional growth and helping children learn to communicate their wants, needs, and feelings effectively. Jackie works in the 2-3 class as well as some afternoons in the 3-6 class.

Ms Brianna

Brianna is a dedicated assistant teacher in our 3-6 classroom. With a nurturing spirit and a keen understanding of childhood development, she creates a supportive and engaging environment where children thrive.

When she is not in the classroom, she finds herself reading, baking, and spending lots of time with her family.

Ms Mandy

Mandy started her career with children working in a preschool while attending school to become an elementary teacher. After earning her degree in elementary education, she went on to teach first and second grade. Wanting to be very involved with their education, she decided to homeschool her four children beginning when each child reached kindergarten age. Now that her children are older, she is excited to return to the preschool classroom!
